GREEN WITH ENVY

Literally green with envy at Green With Envy's Buyer's Trip to New York. In love with their Instagrammy pics and the trends they are tapping into. Their style is very structured and simple but with bright colours and interesting silhouettes for the stylish ones.

Nicholas Spring 2013 heels; Downtown New York City; Accessories wall at Alexander Wang; Ivory Bra Top Tee at Alexander Wang; Nicholas 'Jocelyn Heel' in Marine Suede; The Marion Bag in red amongst pre-Spring 2013 Accessories at Alexander Wang; Backless body con at Alexander Wang

I remember making trips to the Alexander Wang head office during my time in New York and marvelling at the showroom's decadence and its simplicity at the same time. The clothing racks line the walls of the oversized rectangular room with its white walls and dark floors. I remember sitting on the couches and thinking that I could possibly fall asleep on them but then I looked around at all the unbelievably fashionable people littering the showroom (including dapper young men) and another thought occurred, "maybe I won't embarrass myself today and save some face."

LE LOOK DU JOUR

It's Monday Funday (I just say that to make monday seem more fun) and it's time for some outfit inspiration for the week. Here's Olivia Palermo walking her dog in New York in a very smarty casual look. The low sitting leather shorts and slouchy knitted top is the perfect "I'm going to look majorly chic and walk my dog" outfit. I've never walked my dog in heels but one day I will and I hope I will feel as glamourous as Miss Palermo.

I DIE

Absolutely, completely, utterly going bananas head over heels (literally) for these beaded heels worn by Christine Centenera at Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Australia. But have also been worn by other notable names like Chanel Iman. The to-die-for heels are designed by Kanye West in collaboration with Guiseppe Zanotti and retail for only $5000 (and when I say only I mean holy bananas, those are some expensive foot clothings). Admittedly, the amount of workmanship in these heels are definitely worth the heft price tag.

These heels, with their intricate beading, are very similar to my inspiration for the SNAKECHARMER line and have given me even more inspiration so keep on the look out for some more jewelry pieces that incorporate this heavy beading.
