COMFY COMFY

Oftentimes (all the time) I find myself wanting to wear comfortable clothes but still look amazingly edgy. Well here is some inspiration to get going on the comfy trend...

I DIE

Absolutely, completely, utterly going bananas head over heels (literally) for these beaded heels worn by Christine Centenera at Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Australia. But have also been worn by other notable names like Chanel Iman. The to-die-for heels are designed by Kanye West in collaboration with Guiseppe Zanotti and retail for only $5000 (and when I say only I mean holy bananas, those are some expensive foot clothings). Admittedly, the amount of workmanship in these heels are definitely worth the heft price tag.

These heels, with their intricate beading, are very similar to my inspiration for the SNAKECHARMER line and have given me even more inspiration so keep on the look out for some more jewelry pieces that incorporate this heavy beading.

DINNER FOR THE FASHION CREME DE LA CREME

Fashion week is a magical time where the most influential of them all congregate and talk about....well they probably talk about being awesome and then laugh a whole lot. One such occasion occurred at Fratelli Paradisio that was organised by the design duo Camilla and Marc.

Jessica Blanch's studded vest is to die for and Michelle Jank bedazzled in jewels in something only dreams are made of.

Looking at these photos, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside with a hint of curiosity...What do these amazingly talented people talk about? Clearly, the Australian fashion industry needs an amaze reality show to give us a little entertainment and insight into what goes on behind closed doors. Obvi.

MBFWA STREET STYLE

How amazing is Taylor Tomasi Hill's style? There's something about that flaming red hair paired with her eclectic fashion that makes me start at her outfits for prolonged periods of time. Here is a little mash up of my favorite street style at MBFWA last week.

[PS. I'm having fashion week withdrawals. I've been told, it's called post fashion week depression. When someone told me about this before fashion week I shrugged it off like it was nothing, but now I understand the perils of the weeks after such an exciting week].

PRINTED BELOW THE BELT

If you asked me a few years ago what the biggest trends of 2012 will be, I would not have said printed pants. The association I used to have in my mind went something along the lines of "my mum's hippy pants that smelt of moth balls and oldness." But now I'm loving this trend! I guess you can't predict trends just like you can't predict what's gonna happen in a really good movie (it's almost like watching lost, so many twists and turns). Anyway, it seems that anything can be "modernised" these days and made relevant. I will welcome printed pants (especially the baggy kind) as soon as I find the ones that tug on my heartstrings.
